Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026. Short version: we only store what the app needs to work and the preferences you choose. No advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.

1. What we store on your device

Cookies, local storage and session storage are small pieces of data a website keeps in your browser. Spinlog uses them only for the items below.

NameTypeWhyHow long
sb-…-auth-tokenCookieKeeps you logged in. Without it, no page behind the login works.Until you log out (renewed while you use the app)
sb-…-auth-token-code-verifierCookieCompletes sign-up securely when you confirm your email.Removed once sign-up finishes

dailyspin:sfxLocal storageRemembers whether Daily Spin sounds are on or off.Until you clear your browser data

The login cookies are set by Supabase, the service that runs our login, on our behalf. None of these items are used to track you across other websites, and none are shared with advertisers.

2. Why we don't ask for consent

The login cookies are strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for, and the other items only remember choices you made in the app. Privacy rules don't require consent for this kind of storage, so there is no cookie banner. If we ever add anything that isn't strictly necessary, such as analytics, we'll ask for your consent first and update this page.

3. Other websites

Cover images are loaded from the Cover Art Archive, and on some browsers the barcode reader is downloaded from a public code delivery network. Your browser connects to those services to fetch the files, as with any website, but we don't place their cookies. Links to Google Maps or Instagram take you to those sites, where their own cookie policies apply.

4. Your choices

You can delete cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings. Clearing the login cookie logs you out, and clearing the other items only resets your preferences. Blocking cookies entirely for this site will stop you from logging in.

5. Contact

Spinlog is a personal, non-commercial project run by James Doro, an individual based in Lebanon, who is responsible for your data. You can reach us at contact@spinlog.org, with or without an account, or through the Contact page when you're logged in.

For more on how we handle your data, see the Privacy Policy.
